The Pulse is a unique coffee bar and retail store located within the Malcolm Hotel. We are currently looking for outstanding personalities to join our team! We are seeking out-going, experienced baristas (preferred) who can easily make conversation with customers while expertly serving specialty coffee/tea/beverages, offering limited-preparation meals and snacks, while maintaining a sanitized work environment. 

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: 

• Warmly greeting customers to The Pulse.
• Preparing and serving specialty beverages and filling customers’ food orders while adhering to all health and safety requirements and procedures. 
• Engaging in conversation with customers and answering questions regarding products and merchandise offered at the Pulse and the area in general (for example, hiking trails, eating establishments, giving directions). 
• Processing payments
• Ensuring the overall cleanliness of the equipment used behind the counter and the store in general; this includes following the closing procedures for the day.
• Looking for ways to increase revenue and market share through product placement, variation, merchandising, and promotion. 
• Dealing with and resolving customer concerns in a timely, respectful, and appropriate manner. 

A valid ProServe certification is required for this role. Preference will be given to those with previous barista experience as well as either direct sales or customer service backgrounds. 

We currently have full-time and part-time opportunities available, one to four shifts per week. Shifts will include a variety of day, early evening, and weekend work.
