Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper
Job Description
We are looking for Dishwashers/Kitchen Helpers to work at the Stirling Grill and Lounge, located within the Malcolm Hotel.
Dishwashers/Kitchen Helpers are responsible for the following tasks:
- Cleaning pots and pans and other dishes
- Assisting with food preparation
- Pre-rinse dishes and flatware, load and unload the dishwashers, put away clean dishes, utensils, and pots and pans
- Sweep and sanitize the kitchen floor
- Maintain the recycling and waste disposal areas and take out trash
- Put away food orders as they arrive and assist cooks with prepping (peeling, cutting, and plating) food items.
This job requires being able to stand for long periods of time while working and being able to lift, push, and pull up to 10kg with ease. The position involves working a mix of day, evening, weekend and holiday hours. We are looking for people who can work a flexible schedule. Full-time employees qualify for health benefits after 6 months of continuous employment.
Subsidized shared staff accommodation is available for full-time employees, pending availability. All units are fully furnished with the essentials in the bedroom, kitchen, and living room, including free internet and cable. Each unit has its own kitchen, bathroom and in-suite laundry. As all units are shared we are unable to accommodate pets.
Salary: $17.50-$18.25 per hour
