Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description

The Housekeeping Supervisor will assist in the leadership of the team members within the housekeeping department. All team leaders will operate under a “hands-on” approach.

REQUIREMENTS

This is a physically demanding position. Applicants must have the ability to move, lift, carry push and pull objects up to 25lbs. Applicants must be able to work independently as well as in a team setting. Ensure adherence to detail and standards. Must have good communication and time management skills.

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing direct leadership and training to all areas of the department.
  • Inspecting and maintaining all guest rooms as well as common areas around the hotel.
  • Preparation of daily work assignments.
  • Identify and report all maintenance concerns.
  • Greet guests in a professional and polite manner.
  • Good communication with all departments within the hotel to ensure fluidity of daily operations.
  • Ability to assist in guest room services.
  • Assist in maintaining housekeeping equipment.
  • Perform full cleaning of guest rooms (change linens, towels, clean washrooms and common areas, garbage, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and restocking of all room amenities).
  • Provide any housekeeping service to guest requirements.
  • Assist other hotel departments as required.
